Numerous people comprise a team, but that does not make them team players. Being part of a team means being part of the structure that creates a great team. I'm reminded this week of how I witnessed our team members function as a Godly team.
I am not talking about sports, I'm addressing service done at our church, and it only could be accomplished by willing partners. It's amazing how God uses people to convey His will in our lives. When Christ came, He chose twelve men to head a team that would take the "Good News," globally.
These men were summoned to a task that only they could do. Even though there were disagreements amongst them. Jesus remained focused on making them excellent team members.
I can testify to the fact that a team that operates righteously will obtain outstanding results. I'm thinking of the one who decorates with precision by the Holy Spirit. Those who share God's love with the community. The women and men who feed the hungry each week, and the ones who lead us in worship. The ones who clean and make sure our building is sparkling. And the individuals who rise early to deliver food to the needy. The women who faithfully pray to God on our behalf.
Also the sound and video production department, and the teachers who spend time sharing God's love to our children? I could go on about a team of individuals, those who make a place for others to receive God's love.
My heartfelt appreciation, it is a blessing to know that God has placed us together in His body. Nothing is more rewarding than being a church excelling in God's Kingdom. To those who give of their time and their finances, may the Lord bless your passion in every way.
