Can you believe that once a year we gather with friends and family to traditionally celebrate a day of thanksgiving? Merely one day a year focusing on being thankful, a time to eagerly eat than to generously bestow our sincere gratitude.
I am not suggesting Thanksgiving Day is wrong, or that we should not celebrate with devoted friends and family. Actually, we must be thankful, but for more than a day of celebrations. Every day should be a sacred responsibility in expressing our fervent gratitude.
“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34
When one genuinely understands that our God values and sincerely appreciates generous praises. And that such recognition of Him needs to be frequently ongoing. We then become faithful in thanking Him, and also considerate of others. Gratefulness can become a lifestyle that we experience for the rest of our lives.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17
