WHAT NOW?
My thoughts after the New Year celebration were, where do I go from here? Ever wondered how the New Year hype may influence us to feel guilty or pressed into making a resolution. Especially the ones we barely keep and if you kept yours from last year, excellent job.
Honestly, if we do not execute our promises to those we hold dear to our hearts. Then we have failed in living trustworthy to others and God. Yes, it is a noble thing to lose weight, eat better, make more money, and get out of debt. Still, it's more honorable in adjusting our lives to be Christ-like than all the New Year rhetoric.
God made a promise to mankind over two thousand years ago. He promised to give us a comforter, an advocate, and a counselor. The Holy Spirit whom He promised through Christ. Today as we witness this promise, trust God so that the Holy Spirit will become your eternal counselor.
Maybe we need to be honest with ourselves? Before we promise ourselves shining gold or extravagant things. Is it possible we commit to God, how we intend to value and assist those who require our encouragement?
Whenever we express that God loves someone, we must likewise live it by faith. Because the Bible is clear, that without faith we will never please God. Hebrew 11:6
Initiate this season your faith in God, and your resolution will be attainable according to God's purpose and plan for your life.
Blessings
Richard
